Mogilev region’s population must be provided with fuel within 10 days. The target was made by Petr Rudnik, the head of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.
Cold weather is expected quite soon. At the same time some areas of the region have got queues to get firewood and peat briquette. In Mogilev region a queue to get peat briquette makes 2,207, half of the needed live in Bobruisk. The governor ordered to provide population with fuel within the shortest time, to monitor the situation with fuel in rural areas and to take necessary actions according to the received results.
In Petr Rudnik’s words, the winter season of 2010 is expected to be rather difficult taking into account growing prices for hydrocarbon fuel. That’s why much attention should be paid to rational and effective fuel consumption.
According to Dmitry Smirnov, the deputy chief of the Department for Energy and Fuel, by October, 14 over 98% of heat consumers were ready for a new heating season. Other facilities will be ready in the nearest days.
