The sole traders of Mogilev Region have elaborated a number of provisions that are expected to help improve their work within the framework of the acting legislation, Interfax learnt from member of the board of Perspektiva public association Sergey Fomin.
In particular, they suggest that presidential decree No.760 be suspended till the parliament passes the bill on small and medium enterprises.
The provisions will be submitted to the Belarusian government in the coming few days.
According to the regional economy committee, there are around 26,000 sole traders in Mogilev Region. Over 9,700 of them use hired labor. In accordance with the presidential decree, the latter were supposed to transform into private unitary enterprises by January 1, 2008. However, only a thousand sole traders had managed to fulfill the task by that day.
