Mogilev is witnessing a considerable drop in crime rate, Mayor Viktor Shorikov reported on Tuesday.
According to his information, last year they unearthed 370 corruption-related embezzlements, including 102 cases of bribery.
Agencies concerned recovered BYR 615.5 million worth of alcohol, BYR 277.3 million worth of tobaccos and BYR 105 million worth of petroleum products.
Also, they seized 1.23 million of ferrous and non-ferrous metals on its way from Belarus, recovering for the state budget a solid BYR 358 million. Also, copyright and royalty operations resulted in confiscating BYR 112 million worth of audio and video products.
