Alina Beiner from the 7 “A” grade of Mogilev secondary school №31 became the laureate of the 38th International Youth Epistolary Contest of 2009, - the correspondent of the site was told at the educational department of Mogilev regional executive committee.
The International youth epistolary contest is annually held in Belarus by the World Post Union and UNESCO; its objective is to develop young people’s abilities of epistolary writing, expressing views in a delicate manner, as well as to strengthen friendly relationships between countries.
The following social topic was chosen of the year 2009: “Write someone a letter and explain how deserving working conditions may lead to improving life conditions”.
Alina’s composition was considered to be the best at the Republican contest. Alina Beiner’s letter to a virtual friend was sent to Bern to take part in 38th International Youth Epistolary Contest of 2009. It was awarded with the third prize, and the jury remarked described the letter to be “a very nice, hearty essay on the delicate topic. Alina managed to be figurative and inspired by the topic”.
