Mogilev Town Hall will ring new bells. Eight bells have arrived in Mogilev this week. The information is provided by Sergei Klimov, the director of the Museum of Mogilev History in the Town Hall.
New bells were presented to Mogilev by Easten administrative okrug of Moscow, and Nikolai Evtihiev - the prefect of the okrug - in particular. The bells portray the icons - of Saint Nikolai, Georgy Pobedonosets, Mother of God and others. There are also the inscriptions saying who presented the bells. The largest of the bells weighs 270 kg, the smallest one - 4 kg.
In Sergei Klimov's words the bells are in the sighting tower now. They are planned to be used to play the music that will sound at the beginning of every hour.
