Mogilev utility companies will implement the project of equipping apartment houses with video monitoring systems. The block of flats to be reconstructed in the nearest future will become the pilot project. The information was provided by general director of Utility Companies Department Alexander Seleznev during the press-conference dedicated to the problems in functioning the city's utility sphere.
It's quite easier and more reasonable to install video monitoring systems while repairing the house, when all wires can be hidden. Thus, in case tenants agree, such video monitoring systems will be installed in other apartment houses under reconstruction. Besides, the systems will be installed in new buildings to promote peace and order in the areas, mayor Vladimir Tsumarev charged.
The cost for surveillance is being considered. The con is that the region's budget can't finance the project, as far as it happens not to be an end use. So, tenants, are welcome to partake. Installation works will be held by specialists of Utility Companies Department, and talks are being conducted with suppliers of equipment. Thus, it will be 30-40% cheaper than services provided by respective private firms. The matters of paying in instalments and putting the fees on rent receipts are considered. It will let people to save money and be aware of all expenses, at the same time promoting security.
Such mutually beneficial cooperation will enjoy high demand among mogilevers, Alexander Seleznev assured. "We discussed the opportunity of installing video monitoring system with tenants of №13 in Mir Avenue where major repairs have been held, and they showed great interest in the project".
