Mogilevliftmash UE has produced an express passenger elevator, Interfax learnt from head of the company's department for advertising and consumer goods sales Ales Tapunov.
In his words, the elevator with a capacity of 1,000 kilograms moves quietly at a speed of 2 metres per second. The elevator can be fitted with a TV-set that will display advertisements and information materials, the source added.
The first elevator of the kind is being installed in an 18-storey dwelling house in Minsk, and the second one will be exported to Moscow, the source informed.
Mogilevliftmash makes a wide range of passenger elevators (400-1,000 kg), cargo elevators (100-5,000 kg), cargo-passenger, hospital and specific elevators. Besides, the enterprise rolls out equipment and components for replacement and modernisation.
The company's produce is certified with STB ISO 9001-2001, DIN EN ISO 9001-2000 and TGA (German accreditation system).
Ten of the 67 elevator models produced by the company are marked with CE stamps and thus can be exported to the EU.
All basic elevator models are certified in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. In January-November 2007 certified goods accounted for 93% of the total output, and newly-launched goods made 52% of the overall production volume.
In January-November 2007 Mogilevliftmash produced BYR 253 billion worth of goods, or 25% up on the year. Consumer goods output rose by 8.24% to reach 18.7 billion.
The company turned out 6,300 pieces of elevating equipment, 566 up on the year.
85% of the monthly output is exported, with 70% of the exports falling on the Russian Federation.
