Mogilev’s international painting open air “Image of Motherland in visual arts” gathered over twenty painters from 8 countries: Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Serbia, Estonia, France and China. The participants will travel about Mogilev region to show impressions in their works. The information is provided at the conference that took place at the Maslenikov Arts Museum.
According to Valery Malashko, deputy chairman of Mogilev regional executive committee, the number of participants proves development of this art event. In his words, the region is always open to those who take interest in arts. The international painting open air in Mogilev is aimed at passing art experience from generation to generation.
Anatoly Sinkovets, head of the central ideology, culture and youth’s affairs office, says that this year the event is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory.
So, while travelling about Chausy district the participants wrote portraits of veterans, visited memorable war sites. Future trips include excursions about Bobruisk and Klichev districts, the memorial partisan fame complex in Usakino.
1995 started the open air movement in Mogilev. Over the time the funds of the Maslenikov Arts Museum have got a number of works by modern painters. The open air-2015 culminates on May 6 with an exhibition presenting the works painted during the event.
