Mogilevtransmash, a Mogilev-based subsidiary of Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) boosted commodity output by 18.6% on the year to BYR 213.4 billion, a company representative told Interfax.

For production increase the company relies on retooling, new technologies and personnel management.

Mogilevtransmash produced 4,900 MAZ trailers, or 4.3% up on 2006 and 1.7-fold up on 2005. MAZ plans to use the production facilities of the Mogilev-base enterprise for assembling truck trailers.

After moving trailer production to Mogilev, MAZ is determined to use the vacant premises for expanding bus production.

In 2007 Mogilevtransmash produced 563 cranes and hopes to release 700 in 2008.

The company enjoys a stable contract portfolio with the CIS states.

Mogilevtransmash was established in 1982 to merge with MAZ in February 2005.

The company produces different trailer modifications and hydraulic cranes on truck chassis.
