Mogotex OJSC (Mogilev) increased exports to Russia by 25% on the year in January-April 2008, Interfax learnt from the company's marketing department.
Over the period in question the company exported $11.7 million worth of goods to Russia. Total exports reached $14.4 million (14.8% up).
In physical terms, Mogotex exported 6.7 million running metres of fabrics, including 5.3 million shipped to the Russian federation.
Mogotex OJSC is one of the largest producers of textiles in Russia and the CIS.
In January-April 2008 the company produced 11.75 million running metres of fabrics. In monetary terms, the output totaled BYR 77.1 billion, or 1.9% up on the year.
The output of consumer goods grew 8.9%.
Today Mogotex offers over 400 fabric titles for overalls, raincoats, lining, furnishing, men and women garments, shutters, curtains, etc. Clothes fabrics account for 65% of the total output, interior fabrics - 25%, technical fabrics - 10%.
Fabric design and production meets ISO 9001 quality management system standards testified by certificates of the Belarusian State Standard Committee and German TUY CERT.
The company was founded in 1973. It employs 4,200 people.
