Mogotex OJSC (Mogilev) is expanding co-operation with Russia's Vostok-Service, Interfax learnt from the company's marketing department.
Vostok-Service is one of the three largest producers of personal protection equipment in Europe, the source specified.
In accordance with the new co-operation agreement, the Russian company will buy 30% of industrial clothing made by Mogotex and 200 running metres of fabrics.
Mogotex OJSC is one of the largest producers of textiles in Russia and the CIS.
In Q1 2008 the company produced 8.9 million running metres of fabrics. In monetary terms, the output totaled BYR 55.5 billion, or 12.4% up on the year.
The output of consumer goods grew 8% to reach BYR 34.5 billion.
In Q1 2008 the company's exports totaled $10.3 million (10.6% up). Over the period in question Mogotex exported 4.8 million running metres of fabrics, including 3.75 million metres shipped to the Russian Federation.
Today Mogotex offers over 400 fabric titles for overalls, raincoats, lining, furnishing, men and women garments, shutters, curtains, etc. Clothes fabrics account for 65% of the total output, interior fabrics - 25%, technical fabrics - 10%.
Fabric design and production meets ISO 9001 quality management system standards testified by certificates of the Belarusian State Standard Committee and German TUY CERT.
The company was founded in 1973. It employs 4,200 people.
