Mogotex OJSC (Mogilev) is planning to supply a set of working clothes to Moscow Transport Company (Mosgoravtotransport), Interfax learnt from the company's marketing department.
The company increased export by 14.9% on the year in January-November 2007 to a total of $29.2 million,.
According to the source, the company's yearly export growth target is 8%.
Over the period in question the company exported 20.4 million running metres of fabric, including 15.9 million shipped to the Russian Federation.
The source attributes the growth to the development of the company's commodity distribution network abroad - 9 joint ventures and 3 dealers in Russia, 3 joint ventures and 2 dealers in Ukraine, a representative office in Lithuania, and dealers in Moldova, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Poland and Hungary.
In January-November the company produced 31.7 million running metres of fabrics, 3.8% up on the year.
In value terms, Mogotex manufactured BYR 180.8 billion worth of goods, or 7.5% up on the year. Consumer goods output grew 6.7% (BYR 106.4 billion).
Today Mogotex offers over 400 fabric titles for overalls, raincoats, lining, furnishing, men and women garments, shutters, curtains, etc. Clothes fabrics account for 65% of the total output, interior fabrics - 25%, technical fabrics - 10%.
Fabric design and production meets ISO 9001 quality management system standards testified by certificates of the Belarusian State Standard Committee and German TUY CERT.
The company was founded in 1973. It employs 4,200 people.
