Mogotex OJSC (Mogilev) exported $26.6 million worth of goods in January-July 2008, or 20.2% up on the year, a company representative told Interfax-West.
The source attributes the growth to a 28.4% increase in the exports of fabrics (10 million running metres in January-July) and garments to the Russian Federation.
Over the period in question the company exported 12.7 million running metres of fabrics.
The company has nine joint ventures and three dealers in Russia, three JVs and two dealers in Ukraine, a representative office in Lithuania, as well as dealership centres in Moldova, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Poland, Mongolia, Uzbekistan.
Mogotex OJSC is one of the largest producers of textiles in Russia and the CIS.
Today Mogotex offers over 120 fabric titles for overalls, raincoats, lining, furnishing, garments, shutters, curtains, etc. the company also makes 500 kinds of garments. Clothes fabrics account for 65% of the total output, interior fabrics - 25%, technical fabrics - 10%.
Fabric design and production meets ISO 9001 quality management system standards testified by certificates of the Belarusian State Standard Committee and German TUY CERT.
The company was founded in 1973. It employs 4,200 people.
In January-July 2008 Mogotex produced 20.7 million running metres of fabrics (3.1% up). In monetary terms, the output totaled BYR 136.5 billion, or 5.6% up on the year.
