2014 was a year full of significant and memorable events. Mogilev region got new social objects, improved its transport infrastructure.
The first regional “Dazhynki” were held in Kirovsk district.
2014 started a new format of “Dazhynki” Festival – on district and regional levels. September 20 Myshkovichi Agritownship, Kirovsk district hosted the celebrations in honour of Mogilev region’s agriculture workers.

The region takes part in the elections to the local Councils of deputies of the Republic of Belarus. 662 thousand citizens of the region took part in the elections. It’s 81.27% to the number of the voters’ list. 152 candidates were nominated for 58 seats. Every district of the region elected the deputies to the local councils.
The action “With love to veterans” takes place in Mogilev region
The action “With love to veterans” took place in Mogilev region. The event was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from fascists and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The program of the action was really diverse: charitable concerts, thematic meetings and other events all over Mogilev region.
Mogilev hospital №1 opens a new deliver room
Mogilev hospital №1 opened a new deliver room for mothers and babies staying there together. The local budget allotted over Br6,5 billion for capital reconstruction and modern medical equipment.
Mogilev holds capital repairing of Shmidta Bridge and Pervomaiskaya Street
Shmidta Bridge built in 1968 was repaired in short time due to active participation of regional and city executive authorities, professionalism of construction enterprises, regular financing. The bridge was renovated and improved. 2014 repaired Pervomaiskaya Street in Mogilev. Over 6 months the street got new three-layer surface, bus stops, a modern drainage system, traffic lights, illumination, road guards, pavements. Repairing works took over Br56 billion from the local budget.
Mogilev region got a new governor
December 27 the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made several personnel decisions. Vladimir Domanevsky was appointed the governor of Mogilev region. He replaced Petr Rudnik who was the governor of the region’s authorities since 2008.
