Museum exposition dedicated to the events of the war in Afghanistan and in honour of lieutenant colonel Anatoly Petynin, the knight of military Red Banner and Red Star, opens today at school № 21 in Mogilev. It is for the first time when such exposition is held in Mogilev – Valery Kireev, the chairman of “Belarusian Unit of Afghanistan war veterans” Mogilev city public institution, informed the journalists.
The exposition represents a panoramic stand group based on the information of Afghanistan: its culture, religion and traditions; it also deals with the reasons of entering the Soviet Army into the country, and the political situation of that period. The surnames of all Mogilev citizens perished at war and the dates of their death are also listed at the exposition. The primary organization of BRUY of school № 21 is among the initiators of creating the exposition.
