Names of 18 Olympic Champions are immortalized in "Olympic Mogilev Land"

The presentation of the book "Olympic Mogilev Land" took place in the press-centre of "Olympiets" sports complex. Olympic champions and prize winners took part in the presentation.

The issue is supplied with lots of photos. It tells about Olympic movement in Mogilev region: old traditions, glorious history and modern sports in the region. The main part of the book is dedicated to 8 champions and 10 Olympic prize winners whose lives have reference to Mogilev land. Essays about Olympic champions give the readers a good opportunity to learn more about the people who Mogilev region is proud of.

The book is written by Evgeny Bulova and Dmitry Lipeiko, journalists working for "Mogilevskie Vedomosti". Svetlana Ermakova, the designer of the regional printing house, worked out the model of the book. The book is issued by Mogilev regional printing house named after Spiridon Sobol.

The book has a small edition - 1000 copies. Its Internet version both in Russian and English can be found on the site of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee. So, everyone can read about "Olympic Mogilev Land".

Aleksander Maseikov, Olympic Champion in 500 meter distance pair-canoeing, presented the book to Petr Rudnik, the head of Mogilev Regional Administration.
