New law on crossing Belarusian border came into force

New law on entering and leaving Belarus came into force on March 30, - the correspondent of the site was told at the state border committee of Belarus.

The new law has replaced that of 1993 having become out of date due to serious changes that had taken place since. The project of the law had been worked out since 2004.

The law introduces more clear mechanisms of temporal restriction for going abroad; it also has certain revolutionary points. One of them allows under age Belarusians to leave the country being accompanied just by one parent (or other legal representative), without asking another parent for documentary evident permission.

In case one parent opposes child’s going abroad, he / she may send complaint to court. Such applications will form a data base of children temporal restricted to leave the country.
