New sewing machines installed by "Mogotex" at factories in Polotsk and Bykhov. The investments into the technical re-equipment made up more than Br2 bln. Thanks to the new Japanese equipment installed the quality of production and working conditions will improve, and increase in output will make up 20-25%.
According to Victor Matievich, general director of “Mona” factory (Polotsk) that will become a branch of Mogilev enterprise "Mogotex" by the end of this year, the factory will produce special military clothing for the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus and the Russian Federation. Within the six months of 2014 the factory's output increased twofold comparing with the respective period of 2012, and made up Br29.4 bln.
Taking into account volume of orders and production load, Polotsk factory has purchased sewing machines to produce coats and shirts for military units of Russia. Thanks to the new equipment, the factory will computerize production of ready-made clothes, increase the quality of production and its output, and broaden the range of products. After the new equipment has been installed, during one-shift operation the plant will produce 950 shirts instead of 650. The expenses will be justified in about one year.
The technical re-equipment will promote creation of new jobs at the factory. In the first half-year of 2014 there were 350 people working at Polotsk branch of "Mogotex". To reach the maximum productivity 20 more people will be soon employed.
The branch in Bykhov specializes in producing home textiles: table linen and curtains. 95% of the output is exported. Within the first half-year of 2014 the factory's output made up Br17.5 bln. The technical re-equipment has resulted in improved working conditions; since 2011 when the branch was set up, the staff has increased to 84 people.
