Unlike Russia, Belarus won't revert to standard time. The information was provided at the press-service of the Belarusian government.

According to the press-secretary, the special committee considered a number of arguments both in favour and against the reverting and sent them to the government. "As a result, the decision was made not to revert to standard time", the press-service specified.

The idea of the lack of arguments for reverting to standard time had been previously expressed by the chairman of the State Standardization Committee Victor Nazarenko.

The committee working out recommendations on the procedure for time calculation includes specialists from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Energy, the National Academy of Science and other state bodies and institutions concerned.

Belarus chose not to revert to standard time in 2011. The decision of the Council of Ministers №1229 from 15 September, 2011 aimed at synchronizing the time with other countries - members of the Customs Union, as well as at more rational using of daylight, improving working and rest conditions of the population. Russia refused of reverting to standard time in 2011. Though, on 1 July 2014, the State Duma of the Russian Federation made the decision to resume the reverting; clocks will be adjusted on 26 October 2014. There are 11 time-zones at the territory of the Russian Federation. Moscow time is taken for a calculating point for other time-zones.
