The Oil Seeds Procession Plant (Mogilev Region) is planning to commission the equipment for the production of extra virgin rape oil by the end of 2007, a company representative told Interfax.
According to the source, the Czech equipment has an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes of oil. After the equipment is commissioned, the capacity of the plant is going to reach 20,000 tonnes of oil per year.
In addition, the plant will annually make 5,000 tonnes of biofuel from rape oil. The relevant equipment will be commissioned in April 2008.
The estimated cost of the two aforementioned projects is BYR 14 billion.
In January-November 2007 the plant produced 2,790 tonnes of rape oil. This year the enterprise is expected to boost output by 2%.
