As many as 54,498 children from Mogilev Region received health rehabilitation services in summer 2007 (100.9% of the target), head of the regional rehabilitation and spa treatment center Anatoly Zhigunov told Interfax.
According to the source, half of the children visited health rehabilitation camps, and 3,744 kids were treated at spa centers.
The total number of children that will get medical services abroad this year is expected to reach 15,600, he said.
Most of these children are residents of nuclear polluted areas, orphans or members of socially unstable families.
The source reminded, the regional budget allotted BYR 513.4 million for the corresponding purposes this year.
