Over last 5 years direct foreign investments in Belarus made a six-time increase. N.Snopkov, the Minister for Economy of Belarus, told about it at the V International Investment Forum in Mogilev.
According to N.Snopkov, the fact has a positive impact on the country’s development. But at the same time external debt goes up. Though over last three years external debt has made a 3.2-time increase, gross external debt has been reasonable (45% to GDP). The share of long-term debt decreased from 70% in 2007 to 43% in 2010.
In N.Snopkov’s words, in Belarus long-tern credits are prevailing. It proves stable and active character of our economy.
