P. Rudnik: Improving standard and quality of life – priority task for state and local authorities

The results of development of the regional economy for January – September 2010 were summed up at today’s sitting of Mogilev region executive committee. Fulfilment of 13 out of 22 prognosed indexes is guaranteed; step-by-step investment strategy is been implemented in the sphere of public service organisations, - Victor Nekrashevich told in his opening speech. But still there are enough drawbacks and neglect at all levels of power.

Petr Rudnik, the chairman of Mogilev region executive committee, named the following among priority tasks: financial improvement in the sphere of economy, decrease in number of unprofitable enterprises, promotion of production profitability, rational usage and saving of budgetary funds, attraction of capital investments.

The head of the region paid attention to the fact that in Mogilev region there are no organisations where salaries are under $200, though in January there were 368 of them. In September average monthly salary made up Вr1,188,900. There are only 9 organisations in the region where salaries are under $250. “By November salary is to be not less than $300, - Petr Rudnik stressed. - Improving standard and quality of life is the priority task for state and local authorities.
