On April 16, the regional practical seminar on tendencies and prospects of agriecotourism development in the region is held at agricultural farmstead “At Knyazev’s” (Ljubuzh village).
According to Victor Stepanov, deputy head of the Physical culture, sports and tourism department of Mogilev regional executive committee, the participants of the seminar (owners of agricultural farmsteads, representatives of local authorities, Mogilev regional public union on agriecotourism development, “Rest in the country” public society, travel agents, as well as historians, geographers) are going to discuss the peculiar features of agricultural tourism in Mogilev region, and the work out the basic tendencies of its development.
Much attention is paid to agriecotourism development in the region. Thus, the number of guest houses for agricultural tourists has increased considerably: from 5 in 2006 to 14 in 2007 and 16 in 2008. By January 1, 2010, 72 organisations providing agriecotourism services were estimated in the region; among them – 18 in Bykhov district, 11 in Mogilev district, and 7 in Bobruisk district.
