An operator with Rodnaya Storona network, Minsk-based НТС company, has purchased by auction a 94% shareholding in Dednovo agriindustrial company, formerly owned by Bobruisk Town Hall, for BYR23.5 billion, Interfax-West has learnt from a Dednovo representative.
The initial price of the shareholding was BYR 14 billion.
Dednovo runs a proprietary network of 37 retail food shops in Bobruisk.
Dednovo agriindustrial company, formerly known as Dednovo brewing company, used to partner with Belarus-Detroit Brewing Company to start Belarusian Brewery CJSC JV, which was formerly transformed into Syabar Brewery and is now controlled by Heiniken since December 2007.
Dednovo also used to own a cannery sold off to Detroit-Belarus Juice Company to start a juice project in Belarus.
Presently, Dednovo specializes in wholesale and retail trading.
