Delegations from Russia's Smolensk and Bryansk regions and the Eastern Administrative Circuit of Moscow have arrived in Mogilev to partake in celebrations dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Mogilev region, Interfax learnt from Mogilev Region Administration.
According to the source, the delegations are expected to meet with Governor Boris Batura and visit several places of interest, including the museum of the history of Mogilev Region.
According to the foreign trade department of Mogilev Region Administration, Smolensk Region is the fourth biggest Russian trade partner of Mogilev Region. Its share in Mogilev Region's trade with Russia is 5%, while the share of Bryansk Region is 2%, and the share of Moscow, the biggest Russian trade partner in the Russian Federation, is 23.3%.
In January-November 2007 the trade turnover between Mogilev Rehion and Solensk Region totaled $67.5 million, or 18.5% up on the year. The trade turnover between Mogilev Region and Bryansk region expanded by 13.3% on the year in January-November 2007 to reach $24.3 million.
Mogilev Region's trade turnover with Moscow grew 36.5% over the period in question to reach $329 million, the source reported.
