The Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorski took part in the ceremony of opening of main process building of OJSC “Bykhov Canning Factory”. The factory has re-equipped technically its system of production. According to the head of the government, each year the enterprise is to improve productive facilities in order to produce competitive products that will attract Belarusian and foreign consumers. The Prime Minister thanked the building company for having constructed the building for such a short period – one year. He wished the staff steady work and prosperity.
The Prime Minister pointed at the necessity of creating new jobs at modern enterprises – the more, the better, – in the areas having suffered from Chernobyl disaster.
At the end of the previous year OJSC “Bykhov Canning Factory” completed the construction of a new workshop that is to produce canned fruits and vegetables. The workshop was equipped with two belts packing the products into different kinds of containers and cans (for ex., glass containers under the “twist off” covers, and cans for green peas & pickles). At present two lines are engaged in birch juice production.
Selling enterprises at a price if one base value stimulates development of new industrial productions in towns. Sergei Sidorski informed, “68 enterprises were sold in Bykhov out of 150 enterprises that were on sail; that means 68 new economic institutions in the nearest future. 80 new jobs have been created in Bykhov since the beginning of the year, basically due to re-equipment and modernisation of OJSC “Bykhov Canning Factory’. The factory was equipped with modern facilities that let produce a wide range of canned products”.
