Site of Bykhov district newspaper “Mayak Prydnyaprouya” got the second prize of «YOUSMI MEDIA AWARDS 2010»

Minsk announced the results of the II Annual International Contest in web-journalism «YOUSMI MEDIA AWARDS 2010». In February 2001 Bykhov district newspaper “Mayak Prydnyaprouya” applied to take part in the contest. The www.bykhov.by site got the second prize of the contest in the nomination “The best Internet site of Mass Media and Internet Editions”.

According to the editors-office of the newspaper, the result was a great surprise. 430 participants from 25 countries represented 913 works. The nominations of the contest were “Best Author”, “Best Journalist” (amateur and professional), “Best Photographer” (amateur and professional), “Best Video”, “Blogger of the Year”, “Best Internet-site of Mass Media or Internet Edition”, “Person of the Year”, “Viewers’ Prize”. The award was founded by the Journalism Institute of Belarusian State University and “Modern Media Systems” Company.
