During 11-month period of 2010 the rate of officially registered unemployment in Mogilev region has made up 0.8% per economically able-bodied population (comparing with 1.5% planned for the end of the year), - the correspondent of the site was told by the deputy chairman of labour, employment and social protection management committee of Mogilev region executive committee Vladimir Shepelevich.
“Both authorities and citizens themselves have made their best to reach the result”. During January - November of 2010 about 20,330 new jobs have been offered in different spheres of economy. Thus, unemployment rate has decreased from 1.7% to 0.8%. By now employment agencies have 5106 vacancies (comparing with 3116 that were available at the respective period of last year).
According to Vladimir Shepelevich, 3612 unemployed were sent to retraining courses this year. Besides, the unemployed had the opportunity to earn by taking seasonal public works – 11,172 people, including 7364 unemployed took that chance.
71 families have been assisted in resettling to rural areas. “In general, situation at labour market of Mogilev region is stable and manageable”, - Vladimir Shepelevich summed up.
