Situation on virus influenza and flu has remained stable in Mogilev region. According to the head of the public health service of Mogilev regional executive committee Vladimir Shrubov, it’s a common thing for this year period to have the increase in virus influenza diseases and flu.
“The situation is stable, it’s being monitoring by respective medical staff and sanitary institutions. Medical establishments have been working at intensive mode of operation. No lethal case has been registered yet”, - the head of the public health service of Mogilev regional executive committee stressed.
Mogilev region chemist’s shops have an essential supply of medicines, they work overtime at intensive mode of operation. Antiviral medicines, as well as those strengthening immune system are of great demand among the population.
According to Alexander Ponyatov, chief of Epidemiology Department of Mogilev Regional Centre of Hygienic, Epidemiology and Public Health, by 4 November situation on virus influenza and flu has remained stable in Mogilev region. The increase in virus influenza diseases and flu is just a bit higher than it’s common for this year period. Influenza virus vaccination has been carried out. “We have sent a request to the Ministry of Public Health on enlarging the list of risk groups that are to be obligatory vaccinated. All vaccine that was available at the chemist’s shops has already been sold out. The request has been sent to the Ministry of Public Health on additional purchase of vaccine.”
