Slavyanka OJSC (Bobruisk) has started to make premium class school uniforms, a company representative told Interfax.
The uniforms are made of imported fabric that protects the body from cell phone radiation, the source reported. The company is planning to produce 20,000 uniforms of the kind by the next academic year. Pilot lots under SLV brand are already sold in Belarus, Moscow and St Petersburg.
On the whole, the company is expected to put out 70,000 uniforms in 2008, or 17% up on the year. Part of the output will be exported to Russia.
This year Slavyanka OJSC has been making BYR 3 billion worth of goods per month. Most of the output has been exported.
The company specializes in garments and sportswear (over 40 kinds of goods).
Slavyanka was founded in 1930. It was incorporated in 1993. Currently the company occupies around 2,000 persons.
