Mogilev-based Strommashina's tower crane shop has reached the design capacity, Vice Director Vitaly Berezovski told Interfax.

The company produces 5 cranes a month, with height ranging from 66 to 74 metres, swinging radius range being 40 and 35 metres.

The cranes produced comply with all standards and are fit for erecting mid-rise buildings - the most popular housing segment in Belarus.

Presently, Belarusian construction companies are looking to replace their worn-out facilities and equipment, including cranes, so Strommashina will have a market for its tower cranes in Belarus.

Strommashina plant was founded in 1913. It is the CIS leading manufacturer of equipment for the production of construction materials and railway ties. The company also specialises in equipment and technological lines (over 40 titles) for producing ceramic and fire bricks, asbestos-cement products (roofing slates, pipes), soft roofing (ruberoid, glass-fibre mats), railway sleepers and pointwork sleepers, cement goods (paving slabs, curb stones). The plant employs about 2,500 people.

The plant produces over BYR 5.3 billion worth of goods monthly. Half of the output is exported.
