Mogilev-based Strommashina is making 10,700 tonnes of tubing support for Belaruskali's Berezovski mine, Vice Director General Vitaly Berezovski told Interfax.
A pilot lot of 19 tubing rings will be delivered to the mine in July 2008. The total order is expected to be fulfilled by early 2010.
Strommashina plant was founded in 1913. It is the CIS leading manufacturer of equipment for the production of construction materials and railway ties. The company also specialises in equipment and technological lines (over 40 titles) for producing ceramic and fire bricks, asbestos-cement products (roofing slates, pipes), soft roofing (ruberoid, glass-fibre mats), railway sleepers and pointwork sleepers, cement goods (paving slabs, curb stones). The plant employs 2,500 persons.
In January-May the company produced BYR 44.5 billion worth of goods, or 34.2% up on the year. Consumer goods output rose by 2.3% to reach BYR 5.8 billion.
Exports reached $8.6 million (80% up).
