OJSC “Mogilevkhimvolokno” got profit in January - September thanks to regulatory solutions implemented - the correspondent was told by general director of the plant Sergei Puzevich.
In the first quarter of the year it had only losses due to import duties for paraxylol that had been introduced by the Russian Federation. In the shortest possible time the enterprise worked out and introduced a number of regulatory solutions. “First of all we decreased the volume of paraxylol bought from Russia. In 2008, Russia supplied 76% of paraxylol we needed, now it makes 49%; 34% come from other foreign countries, and 17% is provided by the Belarusian suppliers (comparing to 2% in 2008). Thus, we reduced the dependence on supplies from Russia”.
The measures having been taken helped the enterprise to continue working in full operation mode, and even to increase wages – by 8% in August and by 5% more – in October. “The figures are not very high, but they are the evidence of the plant’s recovery”, - Sergei Puzevich stressed. Besides, a number of jobsites appeared due to launching of new technical lines and widening a range of competitive and merchantable goods produced.
