A. Tozik: Bykhov likely to become one of major tourist centres of Belarus

Bykhov is likely to become one of the major tourist centres of Belarus, deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Tozik told during the sitting of the National Organizing Committee coordinating preparation for and holding of the Belarusian Literature Day.

Bykhov is an ancient town which boasts rich history and culture. There are many splendid monuments of architecture, including the unique Bykhov Castle and the synagogue which restoration has been started in the run-up to the Belarusian Literature Day. All in all, over 100 social infrastructure buildings will be renovated prior to the celebration. Many of them will be given modern appearance and adorn the district center. “It is important to note that the renovation of objects is not aimed merely to the celebration. On the contrary, it is needed for the town’s development and people. Here we speak about the renovated district center of culture, a new swimming pool and a cinema. Other buildings such as a railway station, a bus station and a number of other objects will be renovated in order to benefit the people for many years to come,” Anatoly Tozik said.

According to Anatoly Tozik, there is still much to be done, though everything that had been planned has already been done, and even more. That is why there is no doubt that all construction works and the beautification of the town will be finished on time. “Everybody, including citizens themselves, is working with considerable enthusiasm. They understand that this will change the quality and living standards in Bykhov and will give it great prospects for development. It is important that we save and augment every year everything that will be done,” Anatoly Tozik stressed.
