The volume of trade between Ukraine and Mogilev Region is constantly growing, Governor Boris Batura told Ukrainian journalists on Friday.
In his words, in January-September 2007 the trade turnover totalled $145 million, or 50% up on the year.
Mogilev Region most actively co-operates with Kirovograd, Chernigov and Odessa regions of Ukraine.
According to the foreign trade department of Mogilev Region Administration, Ukraine accounts for 8.1% of the region's trade. In January-August 2007 Mogilev Region exported $66.2 million worth of goods to Ukraine (1.4 times up). Imports totalled $78.3 million (a 1.7-fold rise).
Most of exports falls on plastic and rubber (42%), while imports mainly consist of cord materials and non-precious metals.
Two companies based in Mogilev Region live on Ukrainian capital, the source added.
