A trilogy about Mogilev region has been published in Mogilev by “Dazhynki - 2012” Republican Festival of agricultural workers. The information was provided by the head of ideology department of Mogilev region executive committee Andrei Kuntsevich.
The first book “Zemlya Mogilevskaya” (“Mogilev Land”) tells about the main stages in the region’s history, its socio-economic and cultural development in the Russian and English languages. The most interesting historic, architectural, natural monuments, as well as famous people and events are presented in the book.
The second book “U Krai Byarozavykh Gajou” (“In the Land of Birch Grove”) in the Belarusian language is an illustrated edition about Gorki district, presenting information about the major stages in the town’s and district’s history, its socio-economic and cultural development.
The third edition “Academy: History and Present” provides the coverage of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy’s development. The trilogy is of great interest for both Belarusian people and foreigners.
All three books of the edition has been designed in the same style, and have been decorated with “Dazhynki - 2012” symbols. It has been published at Mogilev Regional Publishing House named after Spiridon Sobol; the circulation made up 1000 copies. Its presentation will be held during the festival in Gorki. Several copies have been sent to the National Library of the Republic of Belarus and Mogilev region libraries. VIP guests of “Dazhynki - 2012” will be also presented the trilogy as a gift.
Besides, many posters, bills, festival’s illustrated programmes and itineraries, have been published, as well many souvenirs have been produced (e.g., badges, medals, etc.). A video film “Mogilev region. My Region” have been made by “Mogilev” TV and Radio company.
