Mogilev region appears to have great potential, - French Republic Ambassador Mikhail Reneri told during his two-day visit to Mogilev region.
During the visit the Ambassador was introduced with social, economic and cultural life of Mogilev region aiming at future promotion French-Belarusian co-operation. Certain mutually-beneficial projects in agricultural sphere have already been outlined during Ambassador’s meeting with Peter Rudnick.
Talks are on about creating enterprise of milk processing in Kirov district together with “Danon” firm, and winery in Bobruisk together with “Belveder”. Besides, France provides humanitarian aid in rehabilitating territories suffered from Chernobyl disaster.
“My task is to promote contacts and relations for mutual co-operation in the nearest future”, - the Ambassador stressed.
In February France put Belarus on the list of countries that are granted medium-term exports insurance for the year 2009 for 500 mln euro, thus having created favorable conditions for investing.
The Ambassador visited free economic zone “Mogilev”, OJSC “Mogotex”, Memorial Complex “Buinichy Field”, Saint Nicolas Nunnery and Saint Stanislav Cathedral.
