Mogilev City Hall is planning to build an underground pedestrian crossing in the downtown, Interfax learnt from the construction department of the administration of the city.
The 12-metre-long tunnel will be built under Mir Avenue and Leninskaya Street that are often jammed with traffic during rush hours.
The wheelchair-accessible pedestrian crossing will be fitted with pay phones and WCs.
The estimated cost of the project is BYR 10-12 billion. The tunnel is expected to be commissioned next year.
