Great Patriotic War's veterans will get financial support in connection with the 70th anniversary of liberating Belarus from German-fascist invaders. The respective decree №54 "On Providing One-time Financial Support" was signed by the head of the state Alexander Lukashenko on 29 January, the press service of the Belarusian leader told.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders veterans of the Great Patriotic War and people who suffered from the consequences of the war, as well as family members of soldiers and officers, partisans and members of the underground, including those perished or missing in action during the Great Patriotic War, people disabled from childhood due to wounds having got during the war, former prisoners of fascist ghettos, and other categories according to the current legislation, will be receive financial support", the press-service informed.
The Heroes of the Soviet Union, persons awarded with three classes of the Order of Glory, Heroes of Socialist Labour awarded this title during the Great Patriotic War will receive Br10 million's support.
Br8 million's financial support will be provided to the disabled and participants of the Great Patriotic War, to those partaking in lifting mines and clearing different objects from mines within 1943-1945 after liberation from the Nazi occupation.
The awardees with the USSR medals or orders for selfless labour in the enemy's rear during the Great Patriotic War, and people who worked at plants and factories within rear boundaries, as well as all other citizens who suffered from the consequences of the war will receive Br3.5 million's support.
