Representatives of the World Bank have met with Vice Governor of Mogilev Region Vladimir Kravtsov.
During the meeting Junghun Cho (WB Public Sector Specialist), the head of the delegation, pointed out that Belarus needs an efficient mechanism of state funds distribution.
In his words, the delegation is going to monitor the management of expenses and financial accountability in Belarus, just as it did in a dozen other states of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, such as Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.
The World Bank has given Belarus six loans ($250 million) and 30 grants ($18 million).
The WB also provides consultation services to Belarusian residents in the spheres of economy, health care, environment. Etc.
