Agroindustrial sector plays important role in economic development of Mogilev region. That’s why the failure to carry out the tasks set up in agricultural sector was the one the main topics of today’s sitting of the regional executive committee.
According to deputy chairman of the regional executive committee Anatoli Isachenko, the major prognosed indexes of exports and imports in the sphere of agroindustrial sector have been have been reached. The volume of international trade made up 119.1% comparing with the respective period of 2009; that of exports – 140.6%. The foreign trade balance made up $117.8 mln. The tasks dealing with promotion of production profitability and energy saving have also been fulfilled.
At the same time, growth rates of agricultural production in January – September made up only 99.6% out of 109.5% planned. Besides, there is 10.4% deficiency in gross output.
According to Anatoli Isachenko, last summer’s weather conditions stand for shortage of plant growing production – 25.2 thous. (7%) of areas under crops and legumes was written off. Besides, unfavourable weather conditions influenced milk and meat production.
At the same time, human factor - non-observance of maintenance procedures - also stands for low rates in both milk and meat production, - Anatoli Isachenko added. One of them is imbalance of diet in cattle breeding.
