120,000 sq.m of reconstructed housing will have been commissioned in Mogilev region by the end the year; it is to make up 10% increase comparing with the previous year. The information was provided by the deputy head of Mogilev region executive committee’s housing and communal services department Anderi Kiblov.
In January-September about Вr120 bln was spent to provide 50,000 sq.m of reconstructed housing commissioned. The major volume of work will have been completed in the last quarter of 2012.
“Every year we try to reconstruct more housing stock, to improve living conditions and to decrease the funds that are to be spent for its maintenance. Thus, within the period of 2003 – 2011, the volume of reconstructed housing stock increased from 30,000 sq.m. to 110,000 sq.m. Naturally, it has led to decrease in amount of citizens’ claims,” Andrei Kiblov remarked.
While reconstructing the major funds are spent for repairing roofs, balconies, networks, heat insulation, etc. To complete the work having been planned, Вr190 bln will be spent till the end of the year. 50% of them is provide from citizens’ residential rentals, while 50% comes from the budget. Still, it’s not enough. About 200-250 thousand sq.m. must be commissioned annually to reach the planned volume of housing stock reconstruction. So far, 10% increase per year is a reality. According to the new programme of developing the sphere of housing and communal services, that is to be analyzed and discussed by the government, the figure is to increase. In case the proposals are agreed upon, Mogilev will be able to commission about 250,000 sq.m of reconstructed housing.
