Young people are making an immense contribution to the economic and social development of Mogilev Region, Governor Boris Batura said during a meeting dedicated to the 5th birthday of the Belarusian Youth Union.
In his words, the youth account for one third of the working age population of the region.
The governor urged young people to take part in the regional rural revival program and the town development program.
Mogilev Region Committee of the BYU told Interfax, it counts over 60,000 members. The committee strives to promote patriotic ideas, moral values and healthy lifestyle and regularly organises workshops, round table discussions, competitions and other venues for young people.
