Mogilev Region and Henan Province of China have signed a co-operation memorandum, an Interfax reporter informs.
The memorandum was signed by Vice Governor of Mogilev Region Nikolai Snopkov and Vice Chairman of the Standing Commission of Henan People's Congress Vang Yumay.
According to the Foreign Trade Department of Mogilev Region Administration, in January-March 2008 the trade turnover between Mogilev Region and China totaled $4,774,500, or 14.2% down on the year.
Exports shrank down to $327,500, while imports rose by 18.7% to reach $4,447,000.
Mogilev Region imports 16 kinds of goods from China, including chemicals (as raw stuff for Belshina OJSC), machines and equipment, textiles, fish, fruit and juices.
