Mogilev Region is planning to commission from 425 to 453 thousand square metres of housing in 2008, the Committee for housing construction and investments of the regional administration told Interfax.
As much as 122 thousand square metres of houses will be commissioned in rural areas, the source said.
In accordance with the state-sponsored rural revival program, there will be built 170 houses and apartments in 34 agricultural complexes (14,000 square metres). In addition, 200 families with three and more children and 80 families whose current living conditions have been classified as inappropriate.
The region is going to invest around BYR 519 billion in housing construction in 2008, the source added.
