Mogilev Region commissioned 353.2 thousand square metres of housing in the January-October 2007, which makes 81.3% of the year target and 14.7% up in comparison with January-October 2006, the Committee for housing construction and investments of the regional administration told Interfax.
As much as 161.1 thousand square metres of houses was commissioned in rural areas (118.5% and 13.6% respectively), the source said.
The proportion of housing commissioned in rural areas in the seven-month period made over 35.1% of the total number of houses made operational in the region.
The share of housing built on bank loans makes 53.2%, investments of private households - 43%.
As reported by the committee, a total of BYR 329.4 billion was invested in housing construction in Mogilev Region in January-October 2007 (17.3% of the total value of investments).
