A total of BYR 70.4 billion was invested in housing construction in Mogilev Region in January-March 2007 (18.4% of the total value of funds invested in the region), the Committee for housing construction and investments of the regional administration told Interfax.
The value of housing commissioned in rural areas and small towns accounts for 55% of the total funds invested (BYR 38.7 billion).
In January-March Mogilev Region commissioned 96.3 thousand square metres of housing, which makes 22.6% of the year target and a 30.3% increase in comparison with January-March 2006.
As much as 41.2 thousand square metres of houses was commissioned in rural areas (14.4% up), the source said.
The proportion of housing commissioned in rural areas in the period made 18.6% of the total number of houses made operational in the region.
The share of housing built on bank loans makes around 55.2%, investments of private households - over 43.5%.
The 2007 year target for Mogilev Region is commission 425 thousand square metres of houses, the source reminded.
