The gross milk yield in Mogilev Region rose by 6.9% on the year in 2007 to reach 581,900 tons, Interfax learnt from the regional committee for agriculture and foodstuffs.
Milk sales grew 5.9%, and the average milk yield per cow totalled 4,252 kilos (6.2% up).
According to the source, over the period in question Mogilev Region farms produced over 115,000 tons of cattle and poultry meat, or 5.6% up on the year. The output of eggs stood at 240.3 million (2.7% up).
On the whole, Mogilev Region's agricultural output increased by 5.5% on the year in 2007, the yearly target being 5.5-7%.
Four agricultural companies (1.5% of their total number) ended the year with a net loss of BYR 1,878 million.
The return on sales of agricultural products made 7.7% in January-November 2007 (2.3% up).
