The alleviation of consequences of Chernobyl disaster cost Mogilev Region BYR 74.4 billion in January-December 2007, Interfax learnt from Irina Apanasevich of the regional administration's Chernobyl Committee.
In her words, BYR 19.8 billion fell on fixed-capital investments, and BYR 27.3 billion was spent on agricultural works.
BYR 15.3 billion was spent on medical rehabilitation services that were provided to 15,300 people (109.9% of the target), including 14,200 children (109.8%).
Subsidies and allowances to population of the affected areas totalled some BYR 13.8 billion, and BYR 8.4 billion was spent on meals for schoolchildren.
